If your line of work involves fitting out boats, pattern making, fine furniture or the need to fine sand curves both external and internal, then you need an oscillating bobbin sander. The  model MM326 is a very well built and capable machine, oscillating sanding is much finer and effective compared to non oscillating  because of the double sanding action, where a non oscillating sander will leave the highs and lows of the grit on the sanding sleeve in the finished work. The table will tilt from zero to 45 degrees for compound angle or curved sanding. Operates on a rack and pinion .While there are other benchtop units with a higher power rating - this unit has a 1/2HP 4-pole motor that runs at the more optimal sanding speed of 1400rpm so will work equally well both along the grain and on end grain. 4-pole motors also have twice as much torque as 2-pole motors (that run at 2,800RPM). The housing is sturdy folded steel so it absorbs vibration providing a smoother finished edge. The three included sander drums have a working height of 110mm and are 3/4in (19.0mm), 1 1/2in (38.1mm) and 2in (50.8mm) diameter. Attaching a dust extractor to the integral 2in dust outlet is recommended.
